Issues and Resolution for IM racing:
In the beginning, I had very little knowledge of how to fuel/hydrate during long workouts; Over time & with experience, I have learned what products work best for me & the right amounts to optimize performance.

GI Distress
I stopped eating solid foods on race day & switched to all liquids to address this issue

Days before the race:
I generally eat very healthy,  so same diet. I take in a couple bottles of electrolytes for about 2 days prior to.

Race Day Morning:
I have a protein shake with peanut butter & banana, then sip on an electrolyte drink.

Bike Leg:
Infinit custom mix. I aim for 250 cal/hr

Run Leg:
On a half, Coke & water each aid station. Full- Infinit custom run mix & Coke

Continue on  same schedule as a half

Special Considerations:
More Salt for extreme heat like Kona

Post Race:
Coke immediately following. A good meal about an hour after.

Advice:
Practice the nutrition you plan to use on race day, in training. Nothing new on race day.
